National Account Representative

Position Overview:

As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for generating revenue by delivering domestic intermodal and highway brokerage services for Jet Freight Services, ensuring favorable profit margins through proactive sales and relationship-building efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Business Growth: Engage with existing and potential customers to secure new business or expand existing accounts, contributing to the growth of Jet Freight Services’ domestic intermodal and highway brokerage services.
  • Relationship Management: Build and foster relationships with both new and existing clients, delivering impactful sales presentations aimed at driving positive gross margins for the company.
    • Prospecting & Lead Generation: Identify new business opportunities by leveraging industry networks and personal contacts. Establish goals to secure bids and business contracts for Jet Freight Services.
  • Market Expansion: Participate in approved travel and customer engagement activities to increase the company’s market share, business volumes, and overall margins while adhering to budget guidelines.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to develop cost-effective, customized transportation solutions for customers that align with Jet Freight Services’ capabilities.
  • Customer Communication: Ensure timely follow-ups with customers and maintain clear communication, both internally and externally.
  • Sales Reporting: Accurately complete sales and activity reports and provide requested data promptly.
  • Expectation Management: Work with clients to set realistic expectations, clarify customer requirements, and communicate them effectively within the company. Partner with finance to ensure timely payment collection.
  • Adherence to Policies: Comply with all company rules and policies, ensuring a safe working environment by following safety regulations.
  • Additional Duties: Perform any other tasks required to support customer needs and company objectives. The company reserves the right to update the responsibilities of the position as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams to deliver customized solutions for customers.
  • Proficiency in using various digital tools and technologies (e.g., Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, the Internet) to maximize sales efforts.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High school diploma or GED with at least three years of experience in transportation sales.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Transportation, or a related field.

Important: This position is 100% commission-based, and we’re looking for individuals who already understand the freight brokerage industry and have an established client base. Training is not provided. This is a 1099 agent contract role.
